The International Union for Cooperation and Communities has announced plans for its first Union Chamber elections as the Democratic Republic of the United and Continuous Empire becomes its newest member.
The elections are expected to take place across member nations at the end of October, with candidate registrations opening on October 25 and polling beginning on October 30.
Results are expected on November 1.
First Union elections
The elections will be the first opportunity for citizens across the IUCC to elect their representatives to the Union Chamber, which is responsible for legislating across the Union, electing the Presidency and holding it to account.
Under IUCC law, elections are organised within each member nation, with candidates standing to represent their own country. Registrations must remain open for five days, followed by 48 hours of polling.
The Presidency has said it will work with member nations over the coming weeks to ensure the elections are held fairly and consistently.
Bushistan, Curnon and Hokoria are also set to receive an additional seat each after the founding members agreed to amend the Charter to give themselves one additional seat.
DRotUCE joins
The Democratic Republic of the United and Continuous Empire, commonly known as DRotUCE, has meanwhile become the latest nation to join the IUCC after its membership was unanimously approved by the founding members.
DRotUCE reported a population of around 150 citizens and is expected to elect three Union Councillors, with the Charter providing three seats to member nations with more than 85 citizens.
Its government has indicated that it should be able to hold its election alongside the other member nations at the end of October.
The admission expands the IUCC beyond its three founding members of Bushistan, Curnon and Hokoria for the first time.
