The Kingdom of Vistaria has signed its first Agreements of Mutual Recognition, establishing formal diplomatic recognition with the Popular Republic of Nargesalem and the Unitary Republic of Curnon.

Both agreements were signed by the Kora on October 18, marking the first AMRs concluded by Vistaria since becoming a Kingdom last month.

The agreements formally establish mutual recognition between Vistaria and the two countries, beginning Vistaria’s own network of diplomatic agreements as its international relations continue to develop.

Curnon and Nargesalem

The agreement with Curnon follows an already close relationship between the two countries and their leadership. Vistaria also represents the Hokorian State and Commonwealth of Lorc’h in foreign affairs, giving the agreement wider significance across the Koruship.

Hokoria and Curnon already had their own agreement of mutual recognition, while officials from both countries have regularly cooperated. The new agreement establishes a relationship directly between Curnon and Vistaria, with the Hokorian-Curno intelligence sharing agreement remaining in place.

The Kora also signed an agreement with the Popular Republic of Nargesalem. Willow has maintained that signing the agreement does not mean Vistaria shares Nargesalem’s positions.

Vistaria develops its own foreign relations

The two agreements come as Vistaria increasingly takes responsibility for foreign affairs across the wider Koruship. Lorc’h is already in free association with the Kingdom, while Hokorians voted on October 18 to enter a similar arrangement under which Vistaria will become responsible for Hokorian foreign affairs and diplomacy.

The agreements are therefore also part of a gradual move towards conducting diplomacy through Vistaria rather than maintaining entirely separate foreign relations across each nation represented by the Kora.

The agreements with Curnon and Nargesalem are the first listed in Vistaria’s register of Agreements of Mutual Recognition.
